Samie Elishi Details Pregnancy Struggles and Craving Greggs Sausage Rolls
Reality star Samie Elishi opens up about her first trimester, battling sickness and food cravings, while addressing public opinion on her pregnancy.
Pregnant reality television personality Samie Elishi has shared details about her first trimester, revealing she experienced persistent morning sickness and a strong craving for Greggs sausage rolls. Elishi, 26, announced her pregnancy with boyfriend Tyrique Hyde, 27, earlier this week.
In a social media update on Saturday, Elishi provided a look into her pregnancy journey so far. She posted a series of photos, including a selfie in bed, a picture with Hyde, and clips of her sharing the news with friends. The reality star also shared images of her food cravings, noting, "1st trimester messies♥️. Telling my best friends. LOTS of rest. Sickness that feels like a constant hangover. Non alcoholic wine & mocktails. Lots of snuggles & my no1 craving Greggs sausage rolls."
Hyde responded to her post with encouragement, writing, "You got this champ."
Elishi's update comes shortly after she addressed "millions of opinions" regarding her pregnancy. The couple announced their baby news with a video on Instagram, shared just hours before they attended the Pride Of Britain Awards together. The following day, Elishi posted a black and white photo of Hyde touching her baby bump, stating, "This world can be an ugly scary place at times especially with social media and millions of opinions it's not always right but sadly it's the way it is. However, the good always outweighs the bad, we're soo blessed and happy right now."
The couple shared their pregnancy announcement via a video montage featuring their first ultrasound and early moments, set to the song "Forever My Lady" by Jodeci. Hyde captioned his post, "Don't make a scene. Can't wait for this next chapter.. Love you @Samie Elishi."
Elishi previously won series three of Love Island: All Stars with Ciaran Davies, though their relationship ended three weeks after the show. She publicly confirmed her relationship with Tyrique Hyde in April, following a trip to Morocco. In March, Davies had spoken about their split, addressing rumors involving Hyde. Davies described their villa relationship as "good" and "genuine," but noted that communication became distant after they left the show and he felt the energy was not being matched.
Reports from earlier this year suggested that Elishi's connection with Hyde may have predated her appearance on Love Island: All Stars. According to a source, cracks in Elishi's relationship with Davies appeared soon after the show concluded, with Elishi reportedly finding their differing lifestyles incompatible due to his rural Welsh background compared to her London upbringing. The source indicated that Elishi went on a date with Hyde after returning from Wales and that they had begun spending significant time together, including booking a trip. Hyde had previously expressed admiration for Elishi, calling her "very good looking" and "cool" in online clips prior to her All Stars appearance.
