Samantha Womack Enjoys Brighton Trip Amid Tour Withdrawal

Actress Samantha Womack, 53, recently shared photos from a trip to her hometown of Brighton, showcasing her in a swimsuit during a visit that she described as "nostalgic." This outing comes after Womack withdrew from the "By Royal Appointment" theatre tour, citing "personal reasons."

Womack posted a series of images on Instagram, including shots from the beach and of her walking her dogs. In one photo, she is seen in a brown one-piece swimsuit, accompanied by the caption, "Back to my hometown Brighton. Feeling nostalgic." Other images captured the former EastEnders star enjoying lunch and walking around town in a striped crop top.

Fellow celebrities and fans reacted positively to the photos. Denise Van Outen commented, "You look amazing," while other fans praised her appearance, with one noting, "Proof that age ain’t nothing but a number! You look insane."

Laura Main, a 49-year-old star from "Call The Midwife," is set to replace Womack in the "By Royal Appointment" tour. Womack was originally scheduled to star alongside Jane Asher in the production, which explores the relationship between Queen Elizabeth II and her dresser and how they shaped the public image of the monarch. The play opened in Cambridge on September 21 and is scheduled to tour various locations across the UK.

This personal withdrawal follows earlier hints about her relationship status. In April, Womack posted a cryptic social media message that suggested a possible end to her relationship with partner Oliver Farnworth. Farnworth, 44, is known for his role as villain John Sugden in "Emmerdale." Rita Simons, who played Womack's on-screen sister in "EastEnders," commented on the post with "Obv, love you," to which Womack replied, "I've got you though."

Womack and Farnworth reportedly began dating in 2019 after meeting during the stage adaptation of "The Girl On The Train." Their relationship started a year after Womack's nineteen-year marriage ended. She has two children, Lili-Rose, 21, and Benjamin, 25. The couple lived together in Spain.

Womack relocated to Spain following the death of her dog, Lola, which occurred shortly after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had rescued Lola in Goa, India, in 2019. The actress described Lola's death in September 2022 as one of the "worst days" of her life, as it made her health struggles feel more tangible. Lola died on the same day as Queen Elizabeth II. Womack received the all-clear from her cancer treatment five months later, a period she described as deeply emotional, leading to her decision to move to Valencia.
