Sam Wood Selling Brighton Home Amid Domestic Violence Charges

Sam Wood, known for his appearance on "The Bachelor Australia," is proceeding with the sale of his $7.15 million Brighton home, which he co-owns with his wife, Snezana. The sale is moving forward despite Wood currently being incarcerated on domestic violence charges.

The couple had reportedly planned to list the property, purchased in 2025 for $7 million, shortly before Wood's arrest. The listing preparations were underway when Wood was taken into custody.

An online sales campaign for the five-bedroom, three-bathroom property, which features a pool and tennis court, is expected to launch this week. Michael Hingston of Jellis Craig is handling the sale.

Wood, 46, was arrested over a week ago on domestic violence charges stemming from an alleged assault at a Noosa holiday home on October 3. He was denied bail and subsequently moved to a correctional facility housing high-risk offenders.

Prosecutors allege that during an argument, Wood pushed his wife into a wardrobe, grabbed her by the throat, and threw her against a wall, pinning her to the floor and causing her to lose consciousness. The incident was reportedly witnessed by Snezana's daughter, Eve, who contacted emergency services. A police prosecutor noted an alleged prior incident where Wood choked Snezana, stating his behavior had been escalating.

Wood's legal representative has stated that his client denies the charges and may rely on self-defense. The defense has questioned the extent of Snezana's injuries, pointing to a lack of visible harm in provided photographs and asserting Wood suffers from severe depression.

Snezana Wood was recently seen in Melbourne without her wedding ring for the first time since the charges were laid.
