Sam Wood Reportedly Partied Days Before Domestic Violence Charges

Former Bachelor star Sam Wood was reportedly seen attending a house music concert in Melbourne just 10 days before his arrest on October 3 and subsequent charge of domestic violence offenses against his wife, Snezana.

An eyewitness told Reddit users that Wood, 46, attended the Dom Dolla concert at Marvel Stadium on Thursday, September 24. The concert, which featured the Australian DJ, ran for several hours, with the set beginning around 8:50 p.m. and concluding by 11 p.m. The event was attended by nearly 60,000 fans.

Wood was arrested following an alleged assault at the couple's Noosa holiday home. He was subsequently denied bail when he appeared before Maroochydore Magistrates' Court. Prosecutors allege that Wood pushed his wife into a wardrobe, grabbed her by the throat, threw her against a wall, and struck her head against the floor. Snezana's 21-year-old daughter Eve reportedly witnessed the incident and called emergency services.

During the court appearance, police prosecutor Sergeant Jeanette Grigoris reportedly mentioned that Wood had previously choked Snezana during a similar incident. Snezana is said to be fully supportive of the charges being pursued.

Reports have also emerged that Snezana had sought a way out of her eight-year marriage to Wood prior to the arrest. A friend of Snezana's told the Herald Sun that the mother-of-four had been struggling privately, despite the couple's public image. This friend claimed Snezana did not have access to the couple's finances or bank accounts. Another friend stated that "everyone has known what's gone on" and that it was an "open secret" in Brighton, with Snezana wanting to leave.

These claims come amid significant property dealings by the couple. Wood recently sold his online fitness business for a reported $71 million, and their Elsternwick home sold for approximately $6 million. Wood also purchased a property in Mount Martha for $2.7 million, and their Brighton family home is currently listed for $7.15 million.

A former partner of Wood's also reportedly described his behavior during their relationship as erratic, claiming he once threw her clothes outside after an argument. This former partner stated that Wood became increasingly erratic when things did not go his way and was always focused on saving money. She also alleged that he attempted to obtain Snezana's engagement ring for free.

Wood is preparing to seek bail again in the Supreme Court on November 4, after having spent three weeks in custody. Snezana has recently been seen without her wedding ring and has not posted on social media in the days leading up to these reports, similar to her daughter Eve, who has maintained an active online presence in the past.
