Sam Wood Fired From His Fitness Company Amid Domestic Violence Charges

Former Bachelor star Sam Wood has been fired from his wellness company, 28 by Sam Wood, following domestic violence allegations. DBG Health, the parent company, officially terminated Wood's employment on Tuesday, one day after he was stood down.

The company confirmed in a statement that it had "ended its commercial arrangements with Sam Wood, effective immediately." DBG Health indicated that the company will be renamed to 28 and will continue under the leadership of Mark Watkin, supported by other health and wellness experts.

"DBG Health does not tolerate domestic violence in any form, and our thoughts are with people impacted by it," the statement read. "As the matter is before the court, DBG Health will make no further comment."

Wood, 46, remains in custody ahead of a bail application scheduled for Thursday. He was arrested over the weekend on the Sunshine Coast after police responded to reports of alleged domestic violence at a Noosa property on Saturday night. He was subsequently charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and strangulation in a domestic setting.

Wood's lawyer, Matthew Cuskelly, stated that his client is worried about his family and that the charges will be defended. The case is currently before Maroochydore Magistrates Court.
