Sam Wood Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges; Stepdaughter Shared Vacation Video Hours Prior

Reality television personality Sam Wood has been arrested and charged with domestic violence offenses, including assault occasioning bodily harm and strangulation. The charges were laid after police attended a property on Hastings Street in Noosa, Queensland, around 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Wood, 46, did not appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday, with his lawyer, Mathew Cuskelly, requesting the case be relisted for Thursday. Wood is expected to apply for bail at that hearing and will remain in a local watchhouse until then.

A police spokesperson confirmed that officers responded to reports of alleged domestic violence. Wood, a Victorian man, was charged early on October 4.

Hours before Wood's arrest, his stepdaughter Eve, an influencer, shared a video on social media promoting Noosa as a tourist destination. The footage, filmed by Eve's mother and Wood's wife, Snezana, showed Eve walking through the Queensland suburb on a sunny Friday, discussing her outfit and plans to get coffee. The video was uploaded on Saturday, the same day Wood was arrested.

In the wake of the allegations, a resurfaced TikTok video, since deleted, has drawn attention. In the clip, Wood jokes about strangling his wife, Snezana, as a method to resist late-night food cravings. The video shows him explaining how Snezana hides treats from him, adding, "Then even if I am strangling her to death she will not give it up."

Wood and Snezana, who met on "The Bachelor" in 2015, issued a joint statement Monday morning. "This is a difficult time for all of us, we are working through this as a family and are thoroughly co-operating with the authorities," they shared on Instagram.

Wood's multi-million dollar wellness businesses have also responded. DBG Health, the parent company of his fitness business 28 by Sam Wood, stated that it has zero tolerance for domestic violence. "While the matter is under investigation and before the court, Sam Wood is on indefinite leave from his duties. Our thoughts are with the family and anyone in the community affected by domestic violence," a spokesperson said.

Wood founded 28 by Sam Wood, which he sold for $71 million to DBG Health in 2022, remaining the face of the online platform. He married Snezana in 2018, and they have three children together: Willow, eight; Charlie, seven; and Harper, four. They also co-parent Eve, Snezana's daughter from a previous relationship.
