Sam Thompson Recounts Presenting Flowers to Ekin-Su, Ignoring Ex's Warnings

Sam Thompson, star of "Made in Chelsea," has revealed he was "obsessed" with "Love Island" contestant Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and presented her with flowers upon their first meeting in 2022. This occurred at the London launch of her Oh Polly collection, an event he attended against the advice of his then-girlfriend, Zara McDermott.

Speaking on his podcast "Staying Relevant" with Pete Wicks, Thompson detailed the encounter. He explained that Ekin-Su's public relations team invited him to the launch. Despite being in a relationship with McDermott at the time, he felt compelled to bring a gift. Thompson recounted his girlfriend's reservations, stating, "Even my girlfriend at the time went you're not bringing flowers." He insisted, "No they need to know that we like them." Thompson described presenting Ekin-Su with the flowers while her then-boyfriend, Davide Sanclimenti, was present.

Thompson admitted that he had been fixated on Ekin-Su and Sanclimenti, who went on to win the eighth series of "Love Island" in 2022. He recalled his interaction at the party, saying, "I'm standing next to my girlfriend waiting for her to finish her like photo round with like the fans and then I went 'Hi these are for you just want to say congratulations and good luck with all your endeavors'." He added that McDermott then said "see you later" before they departed.

Following the event, Thompson shared photos on Instagram, including one of himself with Ekin-Su and Sanclimenti, in which he appeared to be smelling Sanclimenti's neck. Thompson is currently dating Talitha Balinska, while Zara McDermott is in a relationship with Louis Tomlinson.
