Sam Thompson Avoids Ex Zara McDermott at Pride of Britain Awards
Reality star Sam Thompson and his girlfriend Talitha Balinska were at the Pride of Britain Awards, where his ex Zara McDermott was also present.
Sam Thompson managed to avoid an encounter with his ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott at the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday night. Thompson arrived with his friend Pete Wicks and later departed the Grosvenor Hotel with his current girlfriend, Talitha Balinska.
Thompson and McDermott, who were both participants on the reality show Made in Chelsea, were present at the same event. McDermott, who was seen posing on the red carpet in a gown with a thigh-high split, was also mingling with Lottie and Daisy Tomlinson, sisters of her boyfriend Louis Tomlinson.
McDermott, 29, began dating the One Direction singer, 34, in early 2025, following her split from Thompson. Thompson, 34, has been in a relationship with influencer Talitha, 25, since December of the previous year.
In February, Thompson shared that he had told Balinska he was in love with her, a sentiment he had been holding onto for some time. McDermott has spoken about her relationship with Louis Tomlinson, noting that they split their time between the UK and the US, where Tomlinson's son Freddie resides. She described their living situation as "amazing" and referred to Tomlinson as her "Prince Charming."
McDermott moved into Tomlinson's north London home last August, after leaving the shared Fulham residence she had previously occupied with Thompson. She has expressed a preference for keeping her relationship with Tomlinson private, stating that while they are not a secret, they do not feel the need to publicize every aspect of their romance. Their evenings typically involve watching television, with McDermott noting Tomlinson's enjoyment of a well-made cup of Yorkshire tea.
She also acknowledged the significant and protective fanbase of Louis Tomlinson, understanding their loyalty to the singer who rose to fame with One Direction. McDermott and Tomlinson made their relationship Instagram-official in June of the previous year, approximately five months after they began dating. The couple were seen publicly displaying affection at Glastonbury festival that summer.
