BBC Radio 1 has announced its lineup for Live Lounge month, with Sam Smith, Chase & Status, and Jorja Smith set to headline. The series, which takes place throughout October, will also feature performances from indie band Blossoms, singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri, and U.S. rappers Anderson .Paak and Cordae.

Each artist participating in Live Lounge traditionally performs a stripped-down, acoustic rendition of one of their own songs alongside a cover of a track by another musician. These performances will be broadcast on Radio 1's Live Lounge show, now hosted by Charlie Hedges and Jeremiah Asiamah.

The sessions are scheduled to air on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at midday on the new show. The series will commence on October 5 with a performance from the Stockport-formed band Blossoms.

Other artists confirmed for the lineup include rock band Nothing But Thieves, emerging U.S. artist Stella Lefty, Brit-nominated singer Beabadoobee, and London-based artist Odeal. The month of performances will conclude on October 30 with a set by Brighton duo Royal Blood, with a surprise artist slated to perform just before them.

Jorja Smith will be appearing following the release of her third album, "What Are The Odds." This year's Live Lounge month promises a diverse range of musical talent, spanning various genres and international artists.
