Sailor Brinkley Cook Attends Project Healthy Minds Gala in NYC
Christie Brinkley's daughter stuns in a black gown at the annual event supporting mental health services.
Sailor Brinkley Cook, daughter of model Christie Brinkley, made an appearance at Project Healthy Minds' Fourth Annual World Mental Health Day Gala in New York City on Thursday. The 28-year-old model wore a striking, low-cut black dress that highlighted her figure.
Brinkley Cook's attire and styling drew comparisons to her mother's iconic look, with her blonde hair styled in loose waves. She accessorized with a black clutch and featured dramatic eyeliner.
The gala, held at Spring Studios, aims to expand access to mental health services across the United States. The event was hosted by Carson Daly and saw other notable attendees including NBA champion Karl-Anthony Towns and actor Terry Crews.
Sailor Brinkley Cook has previously spoken about her relationship with her supermodel mother. In an interview with the California Post earlier this year, she described their dynamic as fun, likening her mother to a "Disney princess" and herself to "the little troll under the bridge." She also expressed admiration for her mother, stating, "I hope to be a MILF one day, too."
Brinkley Cook has also shared advice she received from her mother regarding the pressures of the modeling industry. "Her biggest advice when it comes to being on a set would be just to be as gracious as you can," Brinkley Cook told People in 2023. "I always try and introduce myself to everyone in the room. And I always try and acknowledge everyone in the room, because I mean, my job is almost pretty much the easiest."
Christie Brinkley welcomed Sailor during her fourth marriage to architect Peter Cook. The couple divorced in 2008 after 12 years of marriage. Brinkley also has two other children: Alexa Ray Joel from her marriage to Billy Joel, and Jack Brinkley-Cook from her marriage to Richard Taubman. Jack was later adopted by Peter Cook.
