Safiyya Vorajee, ex-girlfriend of Ashley Cain, has publicly introduced her new partner, weeks after Cain was dismissed from the BBC due to historical misogynistic tweets.

Vorajee, 38, revealed her new relationship on Instagram with a photograph of the couple kissing in a restaurant. She described their meeting in Bali as a fated encounter, stating on the social media platform, "In a world that's so big we met exactly where we was meant to feel so happy. God always gets the timing right. Trust in him always. The most magical connection when you feel it in your soul."

Vorajee, a beautician from Birmingham, recently returned from an extended solo trip to Bali that spanned from April to July. She used the time for self-discovery and focused on her interest in exercise. During her time in Bali, she posted a bikini picture from the beach with the caption, "Please be picky everything you want exists."

Reflecting on her trip, Vorajee indicated she is entering a new phase of her life. She shared, "Bali, Bali, Bali… This place has become home to a part of me I thought I’d lost forever. The beauty, the people, the energy… it’s impossible to put into words. There’s something so magical here that has healed parts of my soul I didn’t even realise were still hurting."

She added, "I’ve grown so much. My nervous system has finally experienced what real calm feels like. I’ve let my guard down, allowed myself to be vulnerable, and in doing that, I’ve found friendships and connections that have changed me forever. For the first time in a long time, I’m choosing me. I’m choosing peace. I’m choosing joy. I’m choosing to believe that life still has beautiful chapters waiting for me. Bali isn’t just a destination… It’s a feeling. And somehow, it reminded me who I was before the world broke my heart. The next chapter is coming and this one feels exciting."

Upon her return to England, Vorajee shared a photo from first-class travel, writing, "Thank you God for the blessings that are coming my way."

Vorajee and Cain welcomed a daughter, Azaylia, in August 2020. The child tragically died of leukemia in April 2021 at eight months old.

Cain, 35, addressed resurfaced social media posts from over a decade ago in June, in which he used derogatory language towards women. He stated, "To my community, You may have seen a recent article concerning language I used many years ago that I am not proud of. I don't deny it. I don't excuse it. And I certainly don't condone it. The truth is that these comments were made over a decade ago by a younger version of myself who still had a lot of growing up to do. I cannot change the past, and truthfully, I have never tried to hide from it."

He continued, "I have always believed that accountability matters. We should all take responsibility for our actions, good or bad. But I also believe in growth, in learning from our mistakes, and in proving through our actions that the person we once were does not have to be the person we remain."

Following the resurfacing of these comments, Cain was reportedly dropped by the BBC and his management. His X account, where the posts were made, has since been taken down.
