Ryan Thomas's Daughter Scarlett Celebrates 18th Birthday with Lavish Party

Actor Ryan Thomas hosted a memorable 18th birthday celebration for his daughter Scarlett, documented on Instagram on Tuesday. The party, held at Louis Restaurant in Manchester, saw Scarlett showered with gifts and attention.

Scarlett, whose mother is Coronation Street actress Tina O'Brien, embraced the festive occasion in a sheer lace bodysuit paired with a skirt featuring a hip-high split and towering stilettos. Her step-mother, Lucy Mecklenburgh, also attended, dressed in a black and grey checked blouse. Ryan's brothers, Adam and Scott Thomas, were also present for the festivities.

The celebration included a specially designed BuzzBall themed cake adorned with pink icing and Polaroid pictures of Scarlett. In a surprising reveal, one of the pictures on the cake concealed wads of £20 notes. Thomas shared his well wishes via Instagram, writing, "Happy 18th Angel a night we will never forget."

Scarlett also shared her excitement, posting, "Octobers all about me coz your turn should’ve been over! 26/10/26 I’m 18 b****essssss we got buzzballs swimming in our tummy."

This milestone birthday follows Ryan Thomas's recent announcement that Scarlett is releasing her debut single, "Onesie," on Spotify and Apple. The news came after Scarlett opted out of her GCSE exams to pursue a music career, a decision that initially raised some eyebrows.

Speaking on "The Thomas Brothers" podcast, Ryan expressed immense pride in his daughter's initiative, detailing how she produced and directed her own music video using only her phone. "She's produced, directed it, brought her friends in, you know, picked out the locations," he said. "I got her a car to go around Manchester to different locations and she's done it all on the phone and edited it and put it all together herself. I'm like, that's magic."

Adam Thomas commented on his niece's dedication, noting that at 17, she was already demonstrating significant creative input and commitment to her passion, even holding her own concert. Ryan emphasized Scarlett's clear purpose and passion, contrasting it with the uncertainty some young people experience at that age.

While GCSEs are not a legal requirement in England, choosing not to take them can impact future educational and employment opportunities. However, with her burgeoning acting career, including a role in Waterloo Road in 2023, and her emerging music venture, Scarlett appears to be charting her own successful path.

Scarlett has previously defended her choices against criticism, stating, "You only got those opportunities because of your family. God forbid a girl takes the chances she gets." Her mother, Tina O'Brien, has also publicly shared her pride in Scarlett's achievements, particularly her acting work being recognized with an award nomination.
