Ryan Reynolds was observed on a quiet outing in Connecticut on Friday, appearing downcast. This sighting follows reports that neither Reynolds nor his wife, Blake Lively, received an invitation to Taylor Swift's recent wedding ceremony in New York City.

Meanwhile, Blake Lively is continuing legal action against Justin Baldoni. In May, their lawsuit was settled out of court, but Lively has since requested that Baldoni pay her $8.3 million in legal fees, a sum her former co-star has deemed "excessive."

Reynolds was dressed casually in a short-sleeved shirt and khaki pants during his excursion in New Canaan. He was seen wearing sunglasses while engaged in conversation with another individual outdoors.

Earlier in the month, Justin Baldoni and his wife, Emily, broke a nearly two-year silence regarding the dispute. In a video posted to Instagram, the couple stated that Lively's claims had caused them "pain" and described them as "untruthful." They explained their delay in speaking out was due to a feeling that "something was telling us not to."

Emily Baldoni added that while there is "so much to say," it has been difficult to articulate. She expressed gratitude for many things and people in their lives, but emphasized that this gratitude "doesn't negate the injustice and the pain" they have experienced. She also noted their family has been dealing with "a lot of trauma."

Justin Baldoni remarked that "painful things have been spoken into existence" over the past few years. The couple stated they wanted to "let the justice system run its course," with Emily adding that "the truth, and the facts, have spoken for themselves."

Following the lawsuit's conclusion, Justin Baldoni shared that their family is still "healing." He thanked supporters and mentioned learning that "when God presses the reset button... that's when love shows up." He promised further statements would be made at a later time, but for now, they would focus on healing and enjoying time with their children.

Reports indicated that Lively and Reynolds were approximately 300 miles away in Lake Placid, New York, at the time of Swift's wedding. Swift and Lively had maintained a friendship for many years, with Lively having attended the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas with the singer. The wedding, held at Madison Square Garden, was attended by notable figures such as Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Jack Antonoff, Hugh Grant, and Graham Norton. Taylor Swift's publicist, Tree Paine, confirmed details of the ceremony, including that Christian Dior Haute Couture designed the bride and groom's attire and that Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. Austin Swift served as Man of Honor and Jason Kelce as Best Man. Swift and her partner, Travis Kelce, were married on July 3rd.
