NFL veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick shared his experience at the recent wedding of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and pop sensation Taylor Swift, detailing a moment that left guests astonished.
The celebration, held on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, brought together approximately 1,000 guests from the entertainment and sports industries. Fitzpatrick, now an analyst for Amazon Prime's Thursday Night Football, attended the event with his wife.
Fitzpatrick described the wedding as a "top notch" and "unbelievable" affair, noting that he was still recovering from "six-plus hours of dancing." While he praised the entire event, one particular appearance stood out. "When Adam Sandler walked out - it had everybody floored, that was really cool," Fitzpatrick told People. He also remarked that the ceremony itself was "beautiful."
The nuptials took place at the iconic Manhattan venue, with a marquee outside proclaiming "JUST & T MARRIED" after the ceremony. Swift's younger brother, Austin Swift, served as her man of honor, while Travis Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, acted as best man. The couple's attire was noted as Christian Dior Haute Couture, with custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry for Swift.
Among the notable attendees were actors Bradley Cooper, Zoe Kravitz, Hugh Grant, and Ethan Hawke; models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss; comedian Chris Rock; director Steven Spielberg; singer Camila Cabello; and author Jenny Han. Several NFL players and personnel also received invitations, including Kansas City Chiefs teammates, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, and former Chiefs player Mecole Hardman. NFL reporters Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson, who reportedly played a role in the couple's relationship, were also present.
The high demand for invitations reportedly led to some internal friction among Kelce's circle. Reports indicated that some NFL associates were disappointed to not receive invitations to a more intimate rehearsal dinner held the night before the main event. Former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton publicly expressed their surprise and disappointment at not being invited to the wedding itself, with Lewan questioning if the exclusion was intentional.
