Former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick described the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce as an "emotional" and "magical" event, recounting his experience as a guest at the ceremony held on July 3 at Madison Square Garden.

Fitzpatrick, who was among the approximately 1,000 guests, shared that he became "teary" during the nuptials. Speaking at the ACC Golf Championship, he confirmed that Swift's song "Love Story" played as she walked down the aisle, an occurrence he described as "very emotional and also very fun and funny, too. It had all the feels."

He also addressed and debunked some rumored details about the wedding, including that Swift's cats served as ring bearers or that Patrick Mahomes threw the ring to Kelce. Fitzpatrick hinted that Kelce may have also been emotional, though he humorously suggested it might have been "sweat" in Kelce's eyes due to the distance.

Beyond the ceremony, Fitzpatrick spoke about the reception in a separate interview with People, noting that he participated in "six-plus hours of dancing." He characterized the event as "unbelievable" and highlighted spending time on the dance floor with his wife as a "pretty magical" experience.

The wedding ceremony took place at Madison Square Garden, with actor Adam Sandler officiating and Stevie Nicks performing. Guests included a mix of stars from sports and entertainment, such as actors Bradley Cooper, Zoe Kravitz, Hugh Grant, and Ethan Hawke, as well as models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss. From the sports world, attendees included Kelce's coach Andy Reid, Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, and ESPN personalities Joe Buck and Stephen A. Smith.

Reports indicated a strict policy against phone use during the event to maintain privacy. However, "Good Morning America" hosts George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts, who were invited guests, later confirmed that Stevie Nicks performed and described the venue as feeling "intimate" despite its size. They also shared that both Swift and Kelce wrote their own vows.

While fans had hoped for wedding details on Kelce's podcast "New Heights," the episode released after the wedding featured an interview with Tom Brady and was recorded before the ceremony. Kelce did, however, mention Swift during the podcast, recalling that he began planning his proposal to her during the recording of an episode featuring her, an event he described as "epic."
