Weeks after his abrupt dismissal from ESPN, former NFL analyst Ryan Clark has secured a new multi-year partnership with Netflix to host his interview podcast, 'The Pivot.' The show, co-hosted by ex-NFL linebacker Channing Crowder and former Jaguars running back Fred Taylor, will begin releasing video episodes on the streaming platform on September 8.

Clark was informed of his departure from ESPN while recording an episode of 'NFL Live,' leading to his mid-show exit. He expressed a renewed focus on his professional endeavors, stating, "I've gained a new perspective: passion over platform, and people over perception." He added, "I'm grateful and excited to take [The Pivot] to Netflix. This is the beginning of a beautiful new chapter… The story is far from finished."

New episodes of 'The Pivot' will stream exclusively on Netflix every Tuesday and Friday. The show's existing content will also be available on the platform, while continuing to be accessible on YouTube. Clark's company, Pivot25 Productions, will also have Netflix as a first-look partner for all new content, with bonus episodes to be produced by the streamer.

This move by Netflix signals an expansion of its investment in live-streamed video podcasts. In the past year, the company has established similar deals with Spotify and The Ringer, bringing video versions of podcasts like 'The Bill Simmons Podcast' and 'The Zach Lowe Show' to its service. Additionally, Netflix entered into an eight-figure agreement with Barstool Sports in December to simulcast shows such as 'Pardon My Take' and 'Spittin' Chiclets.'

Clark had been independently producing 'The Pivot' since January 2025, following a prior multiyear partnership with Fanatics that ended mutually. His former ESPN colleague, Stephen A. Smith, publicly congratulated Clark on his new venture via X, formerly Twitter, expressing his support and happiness for the move.
