Ruth Langsford holidaying in Italy amid news of Eamonn Holmes' girlfriend moving out

Ruth Langsford is currently on a week-long girls' trip to the Italian Riviera, enjoying champagne and Limoncellos with fellow presenter Lucy Alexander. The holiday comes as news emerged that Katie Alexander, the girlfriend of Langsford's ex-husband Eamonn Holmes, has reportedly moved out of the flat they shared.

Langsford, 66, shared glimpses of her trip on Instagram, describing it as "the most AMAZING trip!" She and Alexander, 56, visited locations including the Amalfi Coast, Ischia, Positano, and Capri. Alexander posted about their travels, calling Langsford her "perfect travel buddy" and expressing hope for future trips together.

Meanwhile, Katie Alexander, 45, is said to have moved her belongings out of the rented £1.3 million home in Surrey on Friday. Sources describe the situation as "incredibly sad," noting that Alexander considered the flat their home and has been a "rock and lifeline" to Holmes, 66, as he recovers from a stroke. Alexander reportedly remains in love with Holmes but has moved out of their shared residence.

Holmes suffered a stroke in April and has been hospitalized since. He began renting the three-bedroom flat after his separation from Langsford in May 2024, after 14 years of marriage. Alexander had been splitting her time between the Surrey flat and her home in West Yorkshire.

It is currently unknown where Holmes will reside after leaving the hospital. His family is reportedly managing his financial affairs during his recovery. Holmes and Alexander began dating months after his split from Langsford. In March, shortly before his stroke, Holmes described Alexander as "the perfect tonic" for his health issues, highlighting their shared interests and connection over food.

Holmes has experienced several health challenges in recent years, including major spinal surgery in 2022 for slipped discs and arthritis in his spine. Despite physical struggles, he stated in a recent interview that he remains mentally sharp. There are also reports that Holmes will not return to his anchor role at GB News, with his recovery taking longer than anticipated and close associates believing his career may be over.
