A Russian missile attack on the town of Radushne in the Dnipro region of Ukraine has resulted in the deaths of ten members of the Voronov family, including parents Olena and Artem, and their seven children. A one-and-a-half-year-old grandson, whose father is a Ukrainian soldier, was also in the home at the time of the strike. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the incident as a "horrific crime of Russia's war against Ukraine – against ordinary people, against ordinary life."

Photos released by regional authorities depicted the house reduced to rubble, with fragments of human bodies found under the debris. Forensic examinations are underway to confirm the identities of all those affected.

The strike on Radushne was part of a larger overnight barrage by Russia, which Ukraine's air force reported included 74 missiles and 284 drones. Civilian casualties were also reported in Kyiv and Lviv. In the capital, tens of thousands sought shelter in metro stations during the overnight attacks. In Lviv, rescuers pulled a 93-year-old woman alive from the rubble of a damaged building.

Ukraine's air force stated it intercepted 55 missiles and 265 drones but has faced challenges intercepting advanced ballistic missiles deployed by Russia.

Separately, a 10-meter-wide crater was discovered in a field in Poland, approximately 50 miles from the Ukrainian border. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk indicated that fragments recovered from the site suggested the crater was caused by a Russian Kh-101 missile.

President Zelensky reiterated his pleas for more air-defense equipment, particularly for intercepting ballistic missiles. He had previously discussed anti-ballistic defense systems with U.S. President Donald Trump. The past month has been reported as the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine since April 2022, amidst an escalation of Russian attacks.
