Russia Launches Overnight Strikes Across Ukraine, Injuring Seven

Russian forces conducted a series of overnight strikes targeting businesses and storage facilities across Ukraine, resulting in seven injuries, according to Ukrainian authorities. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that its forces carried out "group strikes" using drones on Ukraine’s "military-industrial and energy sector facilities, logistics centers and maritime vessels."

In Kyiv and its surrounding region, a storage facility and an industrial facility involved in drone production were hit. The Kyiv City Military Administration reported three people were injured in the capital, with damage to a warehouse that caught fire, a fuel station, and an office building. Drone debris also fell in open areas in the Solomianskyi and Darnytskyi districts, damaging a gas station in the latter.

West of Kyiv, in the Zhytomyr region, two individuals were injured in an attack on a business, Ukraine's Emergency Service reported. In Zaporizhzhia, in southeastern Ukraine, two men were injured by a strike that ignited a large fire at a shopping center, spreading across approximately 6,000 square meters (1.5 acres) before being contained.

Emergency crews in Odesa, in the southern region, battled a blaze at warehouse buildings. Firefighters faced challenges due to repeated air raid alerts, the building's structure, and the volume of goods inside. Russia's Defense Ministry claimed three logistics centers used for storing military and dual-use goods were hit in Odesa, and another facility storing drone components was struck in the wider Odesa region. The ministry also stated that a bulk carrier "transporting military supplies to the port of Odesa" was hit at sea.
