Russell Brand Rape Trial Coverage Launched by Daily Mail Podcast
The 'Trial' podcast will provide daily updates and courtroom coverage of the proceedings against the comedian and actor.
The Daily Mail has launched a new podcast, "The Trial," dedicated to covering the rape trial of comedian and actor Russell Brand. Hosts Caroline Cheetham and Liz Hull will be providing daily coverage from Southwark Crown Court, from jury selection through to the verdict.
Brand, 51, faces multiple charges including three counts of rape, three of sexual assault, and one of indecent assault. These accusations stem from alleged incidents involving six women between 1999 and 2009. Brand has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
In addition to audio coverage, "The Trial" podcast will also release daily video episodes from a studio located near the court. Subscribers to thecrimedesk.com will receive an additional exclusive bonus episode each Saturday.
The podcast is available on major platforms including Apple Podcasts and Spotify. The Daily Mail is also making video episodes available on YouTube for the first time.
