George Clooney's renowned Lake Como villa, Villa Oleandra, is reportedly up for sale, fueling speculation about the actor's future real estate plans. The property, valued at $100 million, has been a frequent destination for high-profile guests, including former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and a host of Hollywood stars.

Clooney purchased the 18th-century estate in 2002 for $10 million from the Heinz family. The sprawling 25-room villa on the shores of Lake Como has been the site of significant personal events for the Clooneys, including where George first met his wife, Amal, in 2013. While the sentimental value has previously deterred him from selling, a recent visit to a Capri villa has intensified rumors of a sale.

Despite the villa's storied past and its role in hosting numerous celebrity gatherings, the Clooneys now spend limited time there, primarily using it for brief summer getaways. The couple's primary residence is currently a farm in France, where they live with their twins, Alexander and Ella. Clooney also maintains other properties, including a New York City condo and a French wine estate.

Over the years, Villa Oleandra has welcomed a constellation of stars. The Obamas visited in 2019 for a charity dinner. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly stayed in 2020, arriving via Clooney's private jet. The villa also served as the wedding venue for Emily Blunt and John Krasinski in 2010. Furthermore, the entire cast of "Ocean's Twelve," including Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Matt Damon, lived at the villa during the filming of the 2004 movie. Brad Pitt himself has been a frequent guest, visiting in the summer of 2024 and previously with his former wife Angelina Jolie.

This is not the first time rumors of a sale have surfaced. In 2023, Clooney publicly denied reports that the villa was on the market, stating he had only learned of it through media outlets. Currently, there has been no official confirmation from Clooney or his representatives regarding the sale of Villa Oleandra.
