Ruby Rose has posted a series of cryptic messages on social media, suggesting there is more to the circumstances surrounding the recent death of actress Hayden Panettiere than has been publicly disclosed. Panettiere, 36, died on August 16 in South Carolina following cardiac arrest, with a preliminary investigation indicating no foul play.
Rose, 40, who had previously offered a tribute to Panettiere, returned to social media on August 19 with a statement that questioned the current narrative. "I have so much I want to say about our dear Hayden," Rose wrote. "But it is LOUD and wrong and scary out there right now. So naturally I keep calling Hayden for advice on how to handle this."
Rose urged followers to exercise patience and await further details before drawing conclusions. "I need more time to get this right for Kaya, I also need folks to have patience. Wait for all the information," Rose added. "Don't take it from her estranged mother. Or any of her abusers. She worked too hard and came too far for this bulls**t. I promise you."
The nature of Rose's relationship with Panettiere is unclear, as the two actresses reportedly never worked together publicly, moved in different professional circles, and were not photographed together at prominent events. Rose has not elaborated on what she believes is "loud and wrong" about the coverage of Panettiere's death.
Earlier in the week, Rose posted a more distraught message: "Hayden, I am begging you. No. My friend, no! WHO do we call? What is happening?"
Panettiere, known for her roles in "Heroes" and "Nashville," was reportedly in South Carolina with her on-off boyfriend, real estate agent Brian Hickerson, at the time of her death. She had an 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, whose full custody was granted to her former fiancé, Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko.
