Ruby Rose is set to return to television, starring in the upcoming season of Fox's reality competition series "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test." The Australian actress, who has largely withdrawn from the Hollywood spotlight in recent years, shared the news via an Instagram post.

Rose, 40, revealed a promotional image from the show, depicting her with a shaved head and in army fatigues, carrying a backpack. She expressed her enthusiasm for the role, stating, "Don't threaten me with a good time!!!"

The actress's fans reacted positively to her return to the small screen, with many expressing their support and excitement for the new series.

Once a prominent figure in Hollywood, Rose has spent recent years living a more secluded life in rural Australia. She has been residing at a cabin retreat in Victoria, frequently sharing glimpses of the secluded property on social media. While her current living arrangements are unclear, she has described the location as a "secret magical place."

Rose gained international recognition for her role as Stella Carlin in Netflix's "Orange Is the New Black." This success led to roles in major film franchises such as "John Wick 2," "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter," "The Meg," and "XXX: Return of Xander Cage." She also took on a leading role in The CW's "Batwoman" series.

However, her tenure on "Batwoman" concluded after one season in 2020 amidst controversy. Rose initially cited health issues, later revealing a severe latex allergy that impacted her ability to work. Following this period, she returned to Australia for an extended break with family before briefly returning to Los Angeles for filming.

While Rose has occasionally appeared on screen since then, she has largely opted out of the intense Hollywood spotlight that had previously established her as a significant international star.
