Senator Marco Rubio stated that he takes unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings seriously and believes the government must investigate what is traversing U.S. airspace. Speaking on Katie Miller's podcast, Rubio, who also serves as a national security adviser, emphasized the need to understand unexplained phenomena, noting that "there are things flying over our military installations and they’re not ours."

Rubio clarified that he does not suspect a conspiracy but stressed the importance of knowing what occupies U.S. airspace. Reports of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena over military bases have persisted, including a recent account of a large, triangular UFO near a Colorado military installation. The Trump administration, with Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller leading efforts, has been engaged in investigating these sightings. Rubio suggested that President Trump would be enthusiastic about revealing findings if answers were discovered.

Beyond national security matters, Rubio shared personal anecdotes from his life. He described a humorous interaction involving his dogs and those of his neighbors, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and his wife Jennifer. Rubio recounted how one of his dogs once wandered into the Hegseths' home, appearing confused by the presence of cats, and how a particular cat from the Hegseth household frequently occupies Rubio's porch with an "arrogant attitude."

In the interview, Rubio also declined to adopt the MAHA diet, a regimen involving meat and fermented foods, which he described as unsustainable given his extensive travel schedule. He cited his preference for sugar and his wife Jeanette Rubio's comment about his fondness for Pop-Tarts as reasons for his dietary choices. He explained that his past attempt at the keto diet led to severe withdrawal symptoms.

Rubio also recounted an incident during a flight returning from China, where a staffer slept so soundly in the Air Force One conference room that colleagues debated whether the person had died. The staff were concerned about protocol and the potential embarrassment or implications of discovering a deceased individual on the presidential plane. The staff member eventually woke up unharmed.

Rubio described his typical workday, which involves time at the State Department and the White House, and mentioned speaking with President Trump multiple times daily. He characterized the president as a great storyteller with a deep reservoir of anecdotes drawn from his extensive public life.
