The Detroit Tigers may be re-entering playoff discussions, but a sports analyst, known as "Stitches," is predicting a win for the visiting Kansas City Royals on Saturday. The prediction centers on the pitching matchup between the Tigers' Casey Mize and the Royals' Michael Wacha.
Mize has struggled recently, allowing four runs on 10 hits over his last nine innings. In contrast, Wacha, an aging pitcher, demonstrated he could still be effective, giving up just one run on three hits over six innings against the Giants. Wacha previously shut out the Tigers over seven innings in May, allowing only two hits.
"Stitches," who has been handicapping baseball for the New York Post since 2019, with a history of profitable seasons and a past NFL Best Bet crown, recommends betting $50 on Wacha and the Royals.
In a separate betting outcome, Bryce Miller of the Seattle Mariners reportedly gave up five runs, including two home runs, in a game where the Texas Rangers narrowly defeated Seattle 5-4. The analyst noted this outcome as a failure to "do the right thing."
