Royal Family's GP Allegedly Murdered by Husband While Hosting Sleepover
Relatives of Dr. Hannah Cain have described her as 'kind, generous and loving' following her death at her home near the Sandringham Estate.
The family of Dr. Hannah Cain, a physician serving the Royal Family, has released a statement mourning her death, which they allege was at the hands of her husband. Dr. Cain was reportedly found deceased in her home in Dersingham, Norfolk, early Sunday morning. Her husband has since been arrested and charged with her murder.
In a statement issued by Norfolk Police, her family described her as "devastated by the loss of our beautiful Hannah." They continued, "She was kind, generous and loving; a beloved mother, daughter, sister, auntie, daughter-in-law and friend. We are incredibly proud of the woman she was and of the great care she took of all her patients who knew her as Dr Terry." The family requested privacy during this difficult time.
Dr. Cain, known professionally as Dr. Hannah Terry, was reportedly hosting a children's sleepover at the time of the incident. Norwich Magistrates' Court heard that police were called to the residence around 2:25 a.m. Sunday after the ambulance service responded to a report of a man with a stab wound, suspected to be from a robbery. However, Dr. Cain was found unresponsive in an upstairs bedroom. A preliminary post-mortem examination indicated blunt force trauma to the head and possible neck compression.
Dr. Cain is understood to have treated senior members of the Royal Family, including Queen Camilla. It is reported that King Charles and Queen Camilla have been informed of her death. The surgery where she worked, Grimston Medical Centre, was closed on Monday, with colleagues citing "extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team." Dr. Cain also worked for a cosmetic treatments business called Norfolk Sky Aesthetics.
Neighbors described the area as typically peaceful and expressed shock at the tragedy. One resident noted Dr. Cain had lived in the area for about ten years and was "just a lovely human being with three gorgeous young children." Another neighbor recalled the couple's three children, two boys and a younger girl, interacting positively with him.
Mark Cain appeared in court charged with murder. He spoke only to confirm his name and showed no visible emotion during the brief hearing.
