Rosie O'Donnell took the hosting reins of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Monday, marking her return to late-night television after a nearly 25-year hiatus. During her opening monologue, the outspoken comedian and former "The View" co-host did not shy away from political commentary, referring to President Trump as the "Mango Mussolini."
This jab reignited O'Donnell's decades-long public feud with Trump. She has previously stated that Trump's actions and rhetoric were the reason she moved to Ireland with her child.
O'Donnell, who is scheduled to host the show for four nights, recently credited Trump with her resurgence in public attention. Speaking on "Good Hang with Amy Poehler" last week, she described Trump as the catalyst for her becoming "re-famous."
