Rosie O'Donnell has fired back at the White House after an official statement referred to her as a "total slob." The remark came from White House spokesperson Davis Ingle, who also called O'Donnell "a nasty woman" and claimed her "brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome." The statement was reportedly first sent to the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

O'Donnell, 64, shared a response on Instagram, posting an unflattering image of President Donald Trump from December 2024, taken after a golf game. The image showed Trump with what appeared to be "hat hair" and his shirt tucked in high above his waist. O'Donnell captioned the post, "This is the guy calling me a slob," adding the hashtag "#mirrormirror."

The public exchange extends a feud between O'Donnell and Trump that has lasted for approximately 20 years. The animosity dates back to a 2006 episode of "The View," where O'Donnell publicly criticized Trump's business dealings.

O'Donnell recently made a return to late-night television as a guest host on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where she dedicated significant portions of her monologues and even a musical number to criticizing the president. She framed her appearance as an opportunity to "settle one last score."

"Welcome to Jimmy Kimmel Live. I am your guest host, 'Nasty' Rosie O'Donnell," she announced at the start of one show. During her monologue, she referred to the president as the "hungry, hungry hypocrite in the White House" and quipped about his time on the show compared to his wife, Melania.

Her musical performance, in the style of "Danny Boy," included lyrics urging the president to "resign" and referencing his "stable-genius brain." The performance also featured a visual of a digitized American flag and mock fireworks.

Earlier in her guest hosting stint, O'Donnell also referenced Natalie Harp, a 35-year-old assistant to President Trump, who had been the subject of recent media attention. O'Donnell suggested it was "time to hang up your wig and let Natalie tuck you in," a remark that appeared to allude to speculation about the president's hairstyle.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had previously addressed speculation about the president's hair, stating to the Wall Street Journal that "Lighting is everything."

O'Donnell, who moved to Ireland with her child after Trump's second inauguration, has been discussing a potential television comeback. She recently told the Tangle podcast that her team is exploring opportunities for a full-time return to television and has continued to share clips from her "Jimmy Kimmel Live" run on social media.
