Rosie O'Donnell used her guest-hosting spot on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to deliver a series of jabs at President Donald Trump, focusing on his executive assistant Natalie Harp and speculation surrounding the president's hairstyle.
During her monologue on Wednesday, O'Donnell, 64, addressed Trump directly, saying, "You got to realize it's time to hang up your wig and let Natalie tuck you in." She followed with a "nighty night" remark aimed at the president.
The comments come amid increased public discussion of Natalie Harp, 35, who has been described as Trump's executive assistant. Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff recently mentioned Harp in a speech criticizing the president, fueling renewed speculation about their relationship. The New York Times profiled Harp earlier in the week, dubbing her the "human printer" for her reported habit of carrying a portable printer to provide Trump with hard copies of documents.
O'Donnell's remark about a "wig" references a social media stir following Trump's appearance in Las Vegas on August 5, where he sported a fuller hairstyle that some observers speculated was a hairpiece. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt attributed the appearance to "lighting" in comments to the Wall Street Journal. Trump's hairstyle has since appeared to return to its previous style.
Harp's brother, Preston Harp, spoke with CNN's Erin Burnett, suggesting his sister might have an "unhealthy obsession" with Trump. CNN also reported that Harp once rode in the trunk of an SUV to accompany Trump to a New York federal court in 2023.
O'Donnell, who relocated to Ireland after Trump's reelection, began guest-hosting "Jimmy Kimmel Live" after being invited by Kimmel. The host and Trump have had a public dispute for nearly a year, stemming from a joke Kimmel made about conservatives.
Responding to O'Donnell's earlier remarks, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle called her "a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome."
