Rosie O'Donnell has sharply criticized Donald Trump, calling him "ill" and suggesting his removal from office after he shared an artificial intelligence-generated video on his Truth Social platform. The video portrayed Trump as a doctor diagnosing his celebrity critics, including O'Donnell, with a fictional ailment dubbed "Trump Derangement Syndrome."
In a statement to The Guardian, O'Donnell said, "He’s quite ill – and getting worse daily. The 25th amendment exists for exactly this reason. Remove. Impeach. Convict."
The long-standing public dispute between O'Donnell and Trump has spanned nearly two decades, marked by mutual accusations. Following Trump's victory in the 2024 election, O'Donnell relocated to Ireland, citing concerns for her well-being and self-preservation. Trump has previously suggested revoking O'Donnell's U.S. citizenship, a move that falls outside the president's executive authority.
