Rooneys Reveal Luxury Barbados Home in New Docuseries

Coleen and Wayne Rooney have opened the doors to their seldom-seen luxury holiday home in Barbados, as documented in their new Disney+ series, "The Real Rooneys." The couple, who purchased the five-bedroom property for £5 million in 2010, allow cameras to explore their Caribbean retreat.

The villa, located within the exclusive Royal Westmoreland estate, is also available for rent at £25,000 per week when the Rooneys are not using it. The property, surrounded by palm trees, includes an additional two-bedroom cottage and is situated near holiday homes of other celebrities such as Freddie Flintoff, Ant & Dec, and Rio Ferdinand. The area is reportedly nicknamed the 'Northern Quarter' due to its popularity with celebrities from northern England.

The docuseries chronicles the couple's family life, including their annual summer and winter getaways to Barbados with their four sons: Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass. A recent Christmas getaway with Coleen's parents was also featured.

Inside the villa, which Coleen furnished herself, guests are greeted by a grand lobby leading to expansive living quarters. The main lounge features cream seating, teak furniture, and ceiling fans, with French doors opening to a patio and pool terrace. The property also includes a study area, kitchen, media room, and an infinity pool. The master bedroom offers a private terrace with sea views.

Coleen expressed that the family has "really found our feet" and highlighted the importance of Wayne being present to help with the children as her work commitments increase. Wayne indicated that his focus is shifting towards his career, suggesting a potential return to football.

The series, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Rooney family, was the subject of a bidding war between Disney+ and Amazon, with Disney+ securing the rights for a reported £10 million. Coleen is said to be receiving £5 million from the deal.
