Romesh Ranganathan's "Parents' Evening" Renewed for Fourth Season by ITV

ITV has renewed the comedy game show "Parents' Evening," hosted by Romesh Ranganathan, for a fourth season. The decision comes as Ranganathan, a prominent figure on the BBC, recently reached the final of "Celebrity Traitors." The third season of "Parents' Evening" has not yet aired.

The show, produced by Ranganathan's company Ranga Bee, features celebrities teaming up with a family member to win money for charity. Previous guests have included Joel Dommett, Alison Hammond, and Carol Vorderman.

Ranganathan, 48, hosts multiple television and radio programs for the BBC and is currently participating in "Celebrity Traitors," a show anticipated to draw over 10 million viewers. This renewal by ITV marks a continued relationship between the comedian and the network, despite his significant presence on the BBC.

Reports from 2024 indicated that BBC executives were displeased with ITV for signing Ranganathan, who has been a key talent for the BBC for a decade. The BBC had provided Ranganathan with a platform, including a BBC Radio 2 slot, a new series of "The Weakest Link," the comedy drama "Avoidance," and a podcast titled "For the Love of Hip Hop."

Financially, Ranganathan's ventures appear successful. Latest accounts for his company Vetty Limited show a significant increase in reserves, growing from £2.5 million to £4.5 million in a single year, reaching a total of £5.4 million before investor payouts. His production company, Ranga Bee, also holds substantial reserves.

Ranganathan's career includes other television roles, such as hosting "The Weakest Link" and appearing in Amazon Prime's "Last One Laughing." He also presented the travel series "Can't Knock The Hustle." Last year, he made his West End debut in "Woman in Mind."

Despite his rising profile, Ranganathan has maintained a connection to his roots, building a six-bedroom home in his hometown of West Sussex. He relocated to a £3 million property in 2022, situated near his childhood home. This move contrasts with the flashier lifestyle often associated with celebrity success and reflects his stated desire to remain near his family.
