Roma Roth, the creator and showrunner of The CW's 'Sullivan's Crossing' for its first four seasons, is stepping down from her head writer and showrunner duties. Roth will remain an executive producer on the series and is shifting her focus to a new CTV project, "Thunder Point."
Floyd Kane has been named as the new showrunner and Head Writer for "Sullivan's Crossing." Kane is a Canadian writer and producer with previous writing credits for "Diggstown" and producing work on "Diggstown," "Orah," and "Soul."
The series has been renewed for a fifth season, with production reportedly scheduled to begin in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in July 2026. While the show's home network, CTV, has confirmed the renewal, The CW's pick-up for Season 5 is still being finalized, according to Deadline.
This change follows the earlier departure of actor Scott Patterson, who played the character Sully. Patterson cited untenable creative differences as his reason for leaving the show after Season 3. Roth had previously stated that while Sully was not physically present in Season 4, the character remained an important part of the show's world. It remains to be seen if Patterson might return in Season 5 under new showrunner Kane.
'Sullivan's Crossing' is available for streaming on Netflix, with subscription plans ranging from $7.99 per month for standard with ads to $24.99 per month for ad-free 4K UHD streaming.
