A roller coaster rider's journey took an unexpected turn when a shoe flew off a fellow passenger and struck them in the face mid-ride. The rider, however, managed to catch the airborne sneaker and later reunited it with its owner.
The incident was captured on video and recently gained viral traction on X, formerly Twitter. While the original poster of the video remains unidentified, it was shared on X by the user @RealAnn_29.
The footage shows a man filming his roller coaster experience when a white sneaker suddenly comes flying towards him. Despite the speed of the ride and the surprise of the impact, the man successfully caught the shoe. "Oh my God, I got it, I got it!" he exclaimed, displaying the footwear to the camera. "I got hit in the face and caught a shoe!"
As the roller coaster arrived at the station, passengers in the row ahead turned around, astonished. "You caught a shoe?" one asked. Upon exiting the ride, the man called out, "Whose shoe do I have?" in an effort to find its owner.
When the owner, who was missing one shoe, heard the announcement, she and her friends erupted in cheers. She hobbled over to retrieve the lost footwear amidst laughter from onlookers.
