Rod Stewart, 81, has postponed his August 9 concert at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, citing an "unforeseen but minor medical procedure" that required immediate attention. Organizers confirmed the postponement, stating that rescheduling is underway and previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. Stewart is expected to recover quickly.

This cancellation follows a series of health-related setbacks earlier in the year. In June, Stewart had to pull out of a concert in California due to a respiratory infection that led to laryngitis. Shortly after, he paused a performance in Utah, using an oxygen tank on stage, which was attributed to the high altitude. He also postponed shows in Morrison, Colorado, in June, citing the need for vocal rest.

Stewart faced public scrutiny in June after attending Scotland's World Cup match less than 24 hours after canceling a concert due to illness. He was photographed supporting the team in Boston. He later explained his decision to attend the match, stating he did not want to disappoint his sons, with whom he had promised to attend a World Cup game. Stewart acknowledged that the optics were not ideal but felt he had to "take the stick" for his commitment to his children.

The octogenarian singer is currently on the North American leg of his "One Last Time" farewell tour, which began in 2024. He has indicated that he plans to tour the UK next year, performing at the O2, and anticipates that this will likely mark the end of his touring career.

Representatives for Rod Stewart did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
