Sir Rod Stewart, 81, and his wife Penny Lancaster, 55, made a joint appearance at the premiere of "The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping" on Wednesday. The couple, married since 2007, joined other notable figures like Glenn Close and Elle Fanning on the red carpet event held at Westfield in London.

Stewart, known for his decades-long music career, appeared in an embellished black suit jacket, while Lancaster, a former model, wore a purple aztec dress paired with a leather blazer.

"The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping," slated for a November 20 cinema release, serves as a prequel to the widely recognized book and film series.

Stewart has recently provided updates on his health, following a procedure to fit a coronary stent for an underlying heart issue. When asked about his well-being, he responded enthusiastically, stating he was "f****** brilliant!" and mentioned swimming 400 meters recently.

Last month, Stewart announced his retirement from touring, confirming that his "The Final Encore" dates next year would mark his last performances. The 21-date European tour is scheduled to begin in Dublin on April 23 and conclude in Hannover, Germany, on July 24, with UK dates including Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, and London.

Earlier this year, Stewart was compelled to shorten his "One Last Time" farewell tour in the U.S. due to the heart surgery. He had previously canceled shows in June due to an acute upper respiratory infection, laryngitis, and vocal strain, leading to a mandated recovery period of at least four weeks off-stage following the heart procedure.
