Marianne Flippo, 49, the wealthy widow of Roblox programmer Chad Flippo, has filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court accusing male escort Greggory Starr, 38, of scamming her out of $5.95 million. Flippo alleges Starr manipulated her during a vulnerable period following her husband's death and while she was under the influence of prescription medications.

Flippo, who inherited a significant fortune after her husband's death from depression in August 2024, stated that she was grieving and recovering from surgery when Starr, whom she initially hired through the Cowboys 4 Angels (C4A) companion agency for $27,000 for translation services during a trip to Italy in December 2024, began to exploit her. The lawsuit claims Starr and his agent, Bridget Collins, devised a plan to take her money by convincing her to pay millions to free Starr from his contract and become her exclusive boyfriend.

According to the complaint, Flippo was persuaded to sign an "exit agreement" for $5.95 million in February, while still emotionally distressed and reportedly impaired by prescription medications and alcohol. Her attorney, Larry Hutcher, described Starr's influence as "Svengali-like control" and suggested Flippo was suffering from "Stockholm syndrome."

Flippo's lawsuit details how she was navigating deep grief after her husband's suicide, compounded by Ehler-Danlos syndrome, a condition affecting connective tissues that increases sensitivity to medication and alcohol. She initially hired Starr purely for assistance on her trip, unaware C4A was an escort service, and reportedly turned down his advances during the trip as she was still mourning.

After returning home, Flippo claims C4A representatives, including Collins, encouraged her to reconnect with Starr. Sensing her vulnerability and wealth, Starr allegedly began to integrate himself into her life. He allegedly convinced her to continue paying C4A for more time with him, including a $150,000 payment for exclusivity. He later moved into her apartment in December 2025, and she continued to make payments for their relationship.

During a trip to Los Angeles in early 2026 for surgery, Flippo was prescribed strong painkillers and narcotics, which, combined with her medical condition, left her in a "compromised mental state," the lawsuit states. It was during this time that Collins allegedly told Flippo it would cost $10 million to free Starr from his contract.

While in Atlanta visiting Starr's mother in February, Flippo claims Starr and Collins pressured her to drink alcoholic beverages, despite knowing her medication regimen. After she became "mentally incapacitated" due to the interaction of alcohol and medication, they presented the "Exit Agreement." Flippo alleges she signed it under duress and manipulation. Although her initial attempts to transfer $10 million were blocked by her banks, Starr allegedly insisted she open a new account, leading to a series of transfers totaling $5.95 million in May and June 2026.

Flippo now seeks to void the "Exit Agreement" and recover the $5.95 million, asserting that Starr shamelessly exploited her during her most difficult time.
