Robert Kelker-Kelly, who gained fame for portraying Bo Brady on the long-running soap opera "Days of Our Lives," died on Oct. 3 at the age of 62. A Missouri medical examiner's office confirmed his death to Fox News Digital.

Police responded to a call around 8:16 p.m. on the day of his death and found Kelker-Kelly unconscious and not breathing. "Our officers arrived on scene along with the St. Charles County Ambulance District, and life-saving measures were administered but were unsuccessful," police stated. According to authorities, Kelker-Kelly had reportedly complained of chest pain shortly before becoming unresponsive, and the circumstances appeared consistent with a medical event, with nothing suspicious noted at the scene.

Born April 18, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas, Kelker-Kelly's career included notable roles on several daytime television programs. He originated the character of Sam Fowler on "Another World" in 1987, later returning to the show in different capacities. He became widely recognized by "Days of Our Lives" viewers when he took over the role of Bo Brady in 1992, staying with the show until 1995. During his tenure, he received the 1994 Soap Opera Digest Award for outstanding lead actor and shared the 1995 hottest soap couple award with Lisa Rinna.

Kelker-Kelly also appeared on "General Hospital" as Stavros Cassadine from 2001 to 2003, reprising the role in 2013 and 2014.

Beyond his acting career, Kelker-Kelly was also a professional pilot. He was married twice, first to Linda Rattner from 1988 to 1992, and later to actress Miriam Parrish from 1997 to 2013.

The official cause of death has not yet been disclosed. Kelker-Kelly's body was released by the medical examiner to a local funeral home.
