Robert Irwin is reportedly facing concerns from his family, including his mother Terri and sister Bindi, over the pace of his new relationship with American wildlife photographer Ashleigh Scully.
A source told In Touch Weekly that while the family approves of Scully, their "concern is more that he's already racing ahead and making all sorts of plans when the relationship is still very new." The family reportedly believes Irwin is moving too fast in integrating Scully into his life and the family business.
New Relationship
Irwin, 22, was seen with Scully, a wildlife photographer specializing in Arctic and underwater subjects, in March while filming the U.S. "Dancing With The Stars" spinoff "The Next Pro" on Australia's Gold Coast. Scully, who began photography at age eight, was named Outstanding Young Nature Photographer by the North American Nature Photography Association in 2021. She also holds degrees in literature from Texas Christian University, where she is captain of the equestrian team for the 2024-25 season.
This is not the first time rumors of a relationship between Irwin and Scully have circulated. In February, they were seen on a deep-sea diving expedition with Dylan Efron, fueling speculation. The pair also sit on the judging panel for the Crikey! Magazine Photography Competition.
Family History
Robert Irwin has largely kept his personal life private in recent years. He was previously linked to actress Xochitl Gomez during his time on "Dancing With The Stars" and had a relationship with Rorie Buckley, niece of the late Heath Ledger, which ended by February 2024. Reports at the time suggested Terri Irwin's opinions may have influenced that breakup.
