Robert De Niro Urges Americans to Vote Early in Midterm Elections
The acclaimed actor released a video with Hands Off Our Vote, warning against efforts to disenfranchise voters.

Actor Robert De Niro is urging Americans to exercise their right to vote early in the upcoming midterm elections, warning that efforts are underway to disenfranchise voters. In a video released by Hands Off Our Vote, De Niro described voting as a "superpower" that President Donald Trump and his allies are attempting to undermine.
"No fucking way!" De Niro exclaimed in response to these alleged efforts, advising voters to cast their ballots early. "And then, no matter what they pull on Election Day, your vote will already be banked."
De Niro, an outspoken critic of Trump, framed the election as a choice between candidates who would align with a "would-be king" and those who would protect healthcare and other social services. The 83-year-old actor has previously called Trump an "existential threat to our freedoms and security," a sentiment that has drawn sharp criticism from Trump himself, who has referred to De Niro as "a sick and demented person" and "pathetic and sad."
