Robert Blake's Children Clash Over Murder Mystery Play at Site of Mother's Death
Rose Blake alleges threats and blackmail from her half-brother Noah over his production at Vitello's restaurant, where their mother Bonny Lee Bakley was murdered.
The lingering shadow of Bonny Lee Bakley's 2001 murder has resurfaced in the Blake family, as a dispute erupts between Robert Blake's children over a new murder mystery play staged at the very restaurant where Bakley was killed.
Rose Lenore Blake, daughter of the late actor Robert Blake and Bakley, has publicly condemned her half-brother Noah Blake's production, "A Killer Night in Studio City," which opened on September 15 at Vitello's Italian Restaurant in Studio City. The play, set in 1958, is directed by and stars Noah.
Rose Blake stated that she has faced alleged threats and blackmail from Noah after voicing her objections to the play. She initially appealed on social media for help to shut down the production, calling it "distasteful" given the family's history with the venue. In 2001, Robert Blake took Bonny Lee Bakley to Vitello's for dinner; she was fatally shot in their car in the restaurant's parking lot shortly after.
Robert Blake was acquitted of Bakley's murder in 2005 but was later found liable for her death in a civil trial.
