Romy Reiner, the youngest child of the late filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife Michele, made an acting appearance in the seventh and final episode of Larry David's HBO series, "Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness." The episode premiered on Friday.

Romy, 28, portrayed a nurse attending to an ill President William Henry Harrison, played by Fred Melamed. This marks a notable moment for the Reiner family, as Rob Reiner himself delivered his last screen performance in the second episode of the same series, portraying George Washington. He and his wife Michele were tragically killed in December.

Rob and Michele Reiner were found fatally stabbed in their Brentwood, California, home. Rob Reiner was 78, and Michele Reiner was 70. Their death certificates indicated they died within minutes of each other, sustaining multiple sharp force injuries. Their youngest son, Nick Reiner, a 32-year-old screenwriter, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He faces a potential sentence of life in prison without parole or the death penalty. Nick Reiner, who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, pleaded not guilty to the charges in February.

Rob and Michele Reiner, married in 1989, were also parents to sons Jake, 35, and Nick, and daughter Romy. Rob Reiner also adopted daughter Tracy Reiner from his first marriage to Penny Marshall.

Following the couple's deaths, Romy and Jake Reiner have been navigating a return to normalcy. On August 2, the siblings threw the first pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Boston Red Sox game, a tribute to their father, who was an avid baseball fan. Jake Reiner shared in an episode of his "Incline: Dodgers Podcast" that his connection to the Dodgers is intrinsically linked to his father. He noted in an April Substack essay that he will always feel his father's presence at Dodger Stadium.
