Ned Donovan, grandson of author Roald Dahl, has divorced Princess Raiyah of Jordan and married American TikToker Megan Tomlin. The ceremony took place last week at St Margaret's Church in Babington, Somerset.
Donovan, 32, who is a journalist and now a U.S. police officer, wed Tomlin in her native United States. A friend told The Daily Mail that Donovan has had a "tough time" and that "we're all happy for him."
Donovan and Princess Raiyah, the youngest daughter of the late King Hussein and Queen Noor of Jordan, married in 2020. Their wedding occurred during a COVID-19 lockdown and had limited attendance. The year following his marriage, Donovan's father, Patrick Donovan, died after a battle with cancer. Patrick Donovan was the second husband of Ned's mother, Tessa Dahl.
In 2024, Donovan, then a Special Constable, was injured in London while apprehending a pickpocket near the Palace of Westminster. He reported being attacked by accomplices of the pickpocket, sustaining injuries including a black eye, bloody nose, and cuts. Donovan noted that bystanders filmed the incident but did not intervene to help.
His half-sister, model and writer Sophie Dahl, and his godfather, Sir Nicholas Coleridge, chairman of The King's Foundation, were among the guests at his recent wedding to Tomlin. The couple currently reside in Charleston, South Carolina.
