RJ Mitte's Final Days Marked by Financial Strain and Self-Doubt, Report Says
The 'Breaking Bad' star was reportedly 'nearly broke' and struggled with his self-worth in the period leading up to his death.
Actor RJ Mitte, best known for his role as Walter White Jr. in the acclaimed series 'Breaking Bad,' was grappling with significant financial difficulties and profound self-doubt in the final days before his death, according to a report.
Mitte was reportedly "nearly broke" and experiencing severe financial problems, which cast a shadow over his plans for marriage to fiancée Kennedy Suarez. A source told the Daily Mail that Mitte "didn't think he was good enough" for his fiancée and felt he deserved someone better.
These personal struggles reportedly contributed to a "dark place" the actor had been in for a long time. "He became more and more bitter about the industry," a source close to Mitte stated.
Mitte's financial woes were so severe that he struggled to afford a wedding, a situation that deeply distressed him. "RJ was nearly broke, he had severe financial problems and was struggling to afford to pay for a nice wedding to his fiancée, and that broke his heart," the source added.
Despite these challenges, Mitte attended the premiere of his movie 'Talking to Strangers' on September 30, appearing to be in good spirits. However, behind the scenes, his difficulties persisted.
In a final interview conducted just days before his death, Mitte expressed a surprising sentiment about the show that launched his career. He admitted that he could "barely bring himself to watch" 'Breaking Bad,' the series that propelled him to fame.
Another insider suggested that Mitte's struggles were compounded by his inability to earn sufficient income from acting. "RJ was angry he could not make enough money in acting," the insider stated. "This kid had so many struggles. He got a bad break in life."
During his time on 'Breaking Bad,' particularly when working with co-star Bryan Cranston, Mitte experienced moments of uplift. "When he was working with Cranston in particular, it gave him a big lift. You could see it in his face. His spirit was strong," an insider recalled.
