Rita Ora Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Unpaid Earnings
The singer is reportedly being sued for £3.2 million by her former manager.
Singer Rita Ora is facing a legal battle with her former manager, Sarah Stennett, who is suing for approximately £3.2 million over claims that Ora failed to pay a percentage of her earnings. The lawsuit was filed at the High Court by Stennett's firm, FAE Ventures.
According to court documents, FAE Ventures alleges that Ora, who worked with Stennett from 2009 until their parting in 2024, violated contract terms by not handing over a portion of her income from tours and television work. The largest alleged underpayment cited is over £1.7 million, with further claims for £1.1 million in 'unreported touring income' from the Phoenix World Tour between spring 2019 and 2020. The firm also claims 'impermissible deductions' were made for professional services.
Representatives for both Sarah Stennett and Rita Ora have been contacted for comment but have not yet responded.
Ora's legal troubles come after a period of public appearances, including attending The Frankie Shop's Halloween party in New York, where she donned a costume inspired by Dolly Parton. She also recently supported her husband, director Taika Waititi, at the premiere of his film "Klara And The Sun" at the BFI London Film Festival, where she wore a striking lace gown and a dramatic headpiece. Her attendance at the film premiere also included posing with co-stars Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams.
