Riley Gaines and Kat Timpf Rebuff 'Call Her Daddy' Host's Marriage Advice

Riley Gaines and Kat Timpf have publicly disagreed with remarks made by "Call Her Daddy" podcast host Alex Cooper regarding marriage and divorce. On a recent episode of Fox News' "The Girls" podcast, Gaines and Timpf pushed back against Cooper's assertion that women can always find better partners outside of their current marriages.

Gaines stated, "To kind of combat the narrative that's out there that we just heard from Alex Cooper, 'seek more, seek better, it's the patriarchy,' which is of course just intentionally using buzzwords." She advocated for investing in existing relationships, adding, "The grass is not always greener on the other side. I have found, at least in my marriage, it's greener where you water it. Pouring into your husband, allowing him to pour into you, that's where I've seen growth."

The discussion stemmed from an episode of "Call Her Daddy" featuring actress Sophia Bush, who recently divorced entrepreneur Grant Hughes. Cooper and Bush suggested that women who hesitate to leave a marriage due to concerns about finding a better partner are influenced by patriarchal ideas. Cooper remarked, "And this idea that it's too late or you're too old or who are you to want more? That's patriarchy. That is crazy. We don't need it."

Timpf countered Cooper's advice, citing her own marriage as an example. "I also couldn't disagree more with what she said because, first of all, she said you can always do better than your husband. That's not true," Timpf said. She elaborated on the support she received from her husband during difficult times, including navigating cancer, childbirth, and her father's funeral, highlighting the depth of their partnership.

Timpf also addressed the importance she places on her marriage, noting that some find it controversial. "There's nothing more important in my life than my marriage," Timpf stated. "And people say, 'But what about your kids?' It's like, 'Okay, but it's for my kids that I have that opinion.' Because if you do not make time as a couple and see each other as a couple and keep that going, then that's not good for the family either."

"The Girls" podcast is available on Fox News Digital, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and other podcast platforms.
