Donald Trump has intensified his campaign to replace the term 'artificial intelligence' with his preferred moniker, 'super intelligence.' However, prominent right-wing media outlets, such as Fox News, Newsmax, and Breitbart, have largely resisted this rebranding effort, according to a report by Media Matters for America.

The report emerged just one day after Trump announced his intention to "BANNING" the term 'artificial intelligence,' deeming it 'a very bad and inaccurate name.' The implications of such a ban, particularly concerning First Amendment rights, remain unclear, and the administration has provided little clarification.

Fox News' website, for instance, continues to feature its 'Understanding Artificial Intelligence' section and regularly refers to the technology as 'AI' in its reporting. Even shortly after the Media Matters report was published, Fox News host Harris Faulkner used the term 'AI' when introducing a segment about a controversy involving Stanford University posting an AI-generated image of its marching band.

Other Fox News personalities, including Bret Baier, who has previously golfed with Trump, and Laura Ingraham, have also continued to use 'AI' in their programming. Jesse Watters has, on occasion, used 'super intelligence,' reportedly alongside Lara Trump, the president's daughter-in-law and former Republican National Committee chair.

Trump's push to popularize 'SI' began in earnest in September, when he declared on his Truth Social platform that anyone using 'AI' instead of his chosen term would be considered 'THE ENEMY.' He has also claimed that Chinese President Xi Jinping favors 'SI' over 'AI.' Furthermore, Trump signed an executive order last month aimed at advancing his rebranding initiative, despite 'super intelligence' already being a recognized term for a hypothetical intelligence surpassing human capabilities.
