Hall of Famer Rickey Jackson has won the inaugural Bassmaster Randy Moss Pro Football Hall of Fame Pro-Am, catching 21 pounds, 10 ounces of fish on the St. Lawrence River. Jackson, a Super Bowl XXIX champion linebacker, partnered with Bassmaster Elite pro John Garrett for the victory.

Jackson, who grew up near Lake Okeechobee, likened the win to his Super Bowl achievements. The event, held in Clayton, New York, paired eight Pro Football Hall of Famers with eight Bassmaster Elite pros for a single day of competition.

Finishing in second place, just 5 ounces behind the winners, was former NFL offensive tackle Joe Thomas. Thomas, paired with Jay Przekurat, had been vocal about his expectations for the tournament. "I would say these guys are trembling in their boots because I am by far the most experienced and talented of the bass fishermen here, pros included," Thomas had told OutKick Outdoors before the event.

Offensive lineman Kevin Mawae secured third place with a catch of 20 pounds, 6 ounces, fishing with Robert Gee. Mawae revealed he lives near Toledo Bend Reservoir, a renowned bass fishery, and spends considerable time fishing.

Packers legend Dave Robinson, who won the first two Super Bowls under Vince Lombardi, finished fourth with his partner, 2024 Bassmaster Classic champion Justin Hamner, bringing in 17 pounds, 15 ounces. Robinson admitted to having low expectations for his own skills, rating them a "negative two" out of 10, though Hamner noted Robinson attempted to use beef jerky as bait.

Cornerback Ronde Barber and Elite pro Tucker Smith placed fifth with 16 pounds, 14 ounces.

Robert Brazile, competing under his NFL nickname "Doctor Doom" with partner Tyler Williams, finished sixth at 14 pounds, 3 ounces. Brazile expressed that fishing was even more enjoyable than football.

The tournament's namesake, Randy Moss, fished with 2025 Bassmaster Classic champion Easton Fothergill, weighing in 13 pounds, 11 ounces for seventh place. Moss, an avid outdoorsman, organized the event to share his passion for bass fishing with his fellow Hall of Famers. "I just wanted to team up, bring the two together, and see if we can put something on for years to come," Moss said.

Calvin Johnson, alongside Elite pro Brandon Palaniuk, finished in eighth place with 11 pounds, 13 ounces. Despite finishing last as a team, Johnson's partner secured the Phoenix Boats Big Bass award for a 7-pound smallmouth.

Johnson described the experience as "truly a one-of-a-kind experience" and admitted it made him consider purchasing a boat.
