Richard Hammond, the 56-year-old television presenter known for his work on "Top Gear" and "The Grand Tour," is reportedly in a new relationship with Kiki Glen, a 53-year-old therapist and mother of two. Glen, whose real name is Keira, was photographed with Hammond last week in Abergavenny, Wales, where Hammond now resides.
This marks Hammond's first relationship since his divorce from his wife of 23 years, Mindy Etheridge, which was announced in January 2025. According to sources close to Hammond, the couple is taking their relationship slowly but enjoys each other's company. A friend indicated that Hammond wasn't expecting to enter a new relationship so quickly but is content with the development.
Hammond has described his post-divorce lifestyle as quieter, focusing on activities such as cooking, running, walking, and appreciating the countryside. He mentioned that he often eats early, either alone or with his girlfriend, and is comfortable with a quiet evening at home.
Kiki Glen, who previously worked in finance and later as a teacher before becoming a therapist, lives in a village in Oxfordshire. She is also a non-executive director for an engineering firm and a school governor. She was previously married to Richard Newall, with whom she has two daughters.
Hammond's relationship with Glen was first publicly noted in September when he attended an event with her in London. His current residence is a six-bedroom farmhouse near Hereford, where he also runs a car restoration business named The Smallest Cog. This move followed a period of renting another property after a separation from his marital home.
Hammond and his ex-wife Mindy, who were together for 28 years and share two daughters, Izzy, 25, and Willow, 22, have maintained a civil relationship. They appeared together at their daughter Willow's university graduation in Gloucester after their split.
Hammond had spoken about his divorce in the past, referring to the preceding year as a "year from hell," which included the "devastating" collapse of his marriage. Factors contributing to marital strain were reportedly linked to injuries Hammond sustained in two near-fatal car crashes in 2006 and 2017. Despite these challenges, Hammond has made efforts to recover and return to his professional life.
