Richard Gere, 76, was recently photographed filming intimate scenes with his much younger co-star, 28-year-old Diana Silvers, for their upcoming romantic drama, "Asymmetry." The pair were seen engaged in deep conversation while filming in a New York City park, with Gere’s arm resting behind Silvers on a bench.

Silvers, known for her role in "Space Force," was dressed in a cream-colored dress and black loafers, while Gere, in character, wore a casual button-up shirt and jeans. These sightings follow earlier photographs from the film's set, where the co-stars were seen holding hands and with Gere’s arm around Silvers’ waist as they walked through the city streets.

"Asymmetry" centers on the fictional love story between Alice, a young editorial assistant played by Silvers, and Ezra Blazer, a renowned 70-year-old author portrayed by Gere. The film is based on Lisa Halliday’s 2018 novel of the same name, which explores the relationship between Alice and Ezra.

The novel's synopsis describes the first part, "Folly," as a tender account of an unexpected romance in New York during the early years of the Iraq War, also suggesting a coming-of-age story for an aspiring novelist. The film's logline indicates that a chance encounter sparks a connection between Alice and Ezra, leading them to create a private world for themselves until their relationship is exposed.

Oscar winner Edward Zwick penned the screenplay with Halliday and Marshall Herskovitz. Zwick is also directing and producing the film. While the movie focuses on the central romance, the book also includes a section titled "Madness," told from the perspective of an Iraqi-American man detained at London Heathrow Airport.

Gere is also involved in an age-gap relationship in his personal life. He is married to Alejandra Silva, 43. The couple, who began dating in 2014 and married in 2018, share two sons and have relocated to Spain. Gere also has a son, Homer, from a previous marriage, and Silva has a son named Albert from a prior relationship.
